You really thought we wouldn't honor the mamas of the world before Mother's Day weekend? Silly you.
In fact, we're devoting our weekend playlist to country and Americana songs that deal with all different kinds of motherly love.
You'll find the life lessons ("Coat of Many Colors," "I Hope You Dance"), the sob stories ("Mama Tried," "Mother's Day"), and the musical love letters ("Mama's Song").
And, for those of you who don't have plans to visit or send gifts to the mothers in your family on Sunday, maybe hearing these tunes will change your mind. It'd be a shame if you didn't do something.
