Sam Peckinpah's Return
Picture this: A beloved filmmaker has an old script under the floorboard or some old film in a can that gets unearthed after years and years. The script hits the internet and BOOM – instant Western classic. Well, that’s hasn’t quite happened yet. The script for Sam Peckinpah’s The Texans was known to exist in several versions, but this is the first time I’ve ever personally seen a copy. Now, thanks to the internet, you can read the first 15 pages online, which have surfaced over the the NYT’s Vulture blog. Rumor or not — we’ll take it.
