'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter'
Major studio 20th Century Fox has released the first trailer for its upcoming supernatural action-adventure -- based on the best-selling novel by Seth Grahame-Smith -- about Abraham Lincoln's battles with bloodsuckers. Yep, that's right: History's most famous rail-splitter becomes a vamp-shredder as director Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted) and producer Tim Burton tell the heretofore unknown story of the other war President Lincoln waged while simultaneously overseeing the conflict with the Confederacy.
Hey, if they do it right, it could be an excitingly over-the-top popcorn flick. And if they do it wrong... well, it's still bound to be better than Billy the Kid vs. Dracula, right?
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter -- starring up-and-comer Benjamin Walker in the title role -- opens June 22 at theaters and drive-ins everywhere. And yes, you guessed it: It'll be available for vieiwng in 3D.
