Americana singer-songwriter Wes Charlton debuts his music video for “Snow Covered Cars,” exclusively with C&I.
In his latest album, Morning Stars, out September 28, singer-songwriter Wes Charlton finds poetic beauty in relationship struggles, self-discovery, and the pursuit of the “Promise Land.”
As a semi-finalist in the 2005 International Songwriting Competition, Charlton’s signature Americana style is methodically fused with lyrics that explore modern themes and bare the complexities of humanity.
For his latest single, “Snow Covered Cars,” a track that reflects on the start and end of a relationship, Charlton uses groovy electric guitars, organ, and his signature gravelly voice to breathe life into his articulate lyrics.
In the music video for “Snow Covered Cars,” we get a well-crafted visual representation of a modern-day love story.
“This video was conceived of during a 14-hour phone call between Chris Roberts and me while I was driving from Virginia to Nashville to play a gig and shoot this video. We came up with a very loose idea, posted ads on Craigslist for actors, got some crazies but ended up with two gems,” Charlton says. “The next day the four of us took off with a camera for an evening in Nashville. A night later I played The Basement. I drove home the next day and we had a video.”
Rotating between the romance and beauty of Music City, a live show, and Charleston’s solo singing, the video for “Snow Covered Cars” is as vividly compelling as the song is lyrically.
