BBQ Bootcamp, May 16 – 18

The area around this former Santa Ynez Valley working cattle ranch is known for Santa Maria-style barbecue, a direct-heat preparation characterized by the tri-tip steak. Alisal Guest Ranch & Resort’s barbecue power duo, executive chef Anthony Endy and legendary grill master and Hitching Post II owner Frank Ostini, will run guests through every step of this barbecue style, beginning with spice rubs and how to start the best fire for cooking. Equipment is important too! Horseback riding, golf, fishing, and other activities on the Central California land and nights with esteemed chefs and winemakers fill out the rest of the time. Montana Master Grillers, May 25 – 28

The Resort at Paws Up, Greenough, Montana

This Big Sky Country resort is a culinary ranch resort extraordinaire, with events and adventure available year-round. Montana Master Grillers, however, is the marquee event. The package includes instruction and/or meals from six chefs, including Tim Byres and Pat Martin, a featured brewery, a featured distillery, and a featured winery. The barbecue will be served with more than just paired beverages. There will also be plenty of wilderness adventuring to be had while enjoying glamping at its finest.
