Singer-songwriter Jackson Emmer releases his new song “My Love For You Texas,” off of his upcoming album Jukebox, exclusively with C&I.
Unifying his traditional classic and witty Americana sound with his down-home country roots, Colorado singer-songwriter Jackson Emmer has put together a new album that’s as sincere as it is engaging.
Dropping April 27, the 11-track gem titled Jukebox exemplifies Emmer’s old-school style of songwriting and a canny ability to turn emotional, introspective topics into chipper ballads that are easy to digest but don’t compromise on originality.
His new single, “My Love for You Texas,” recollects the Lone Star State’s music, its larger-than-life feel, and its mark on America — and Emmer.
“My parents are from Oklahoma, and I have cousins and grandparents from Texas,” Emmer says. “While driving from Colorado or California as a kid, we’d pass through the panhandle of Texas en route to Oklahoma City. As I’ve learned more about the state, its history, and my family history there, I’ve grown enamored of the place — especially its role in American music history.”
With dancing violin, foot-tapping snare drums, and Emmer’s smoky vocals, the colorful and rich track goes down like cool lemonade on a hot Texas summer day.
