Hailey Nelson created her collection as a reflection of her own killer sense of style — an eclectic mix of boho, Old West, honky-tonk, and rock ’n’ roll vibes.
A graphic designer with a lifelong affinity for squash blossoms, Hailey Nelson launched her fashion line with what she knew best: graphic tees and accessories. Now, just more than 6 years later, Western & Co. has caught the attention of many a fashionista, including country stars Miranda Lambert and Kacey Musgraves, and the collection continues to grow. Each tee boasts an original graphic hand-drawn by Nelson, while the accessories are a mixture of her own creations and vintage one-of-a-kind finds. Recently, Nelson has also launched into leather goods, applying her signature edgy retro style to custom suede capes and fringed moto jackets.
My favorite? The cape, of course! (I can never resist a good fall cape.) With structured shoulders, cross-stitching, and long fringe, it’s a little bit modern, a little bit ’70s, and classically Western. Plus, Nelson has introduced it in my favorite color combo: black and white! See the Babe Suede Cape below (or click here to see it featured in our Fall 2017 Fashion Shoot), along with a few more of the things currently topping my Western & Co. wish list.
