This easy and chilly tipple is served with a side of Pop.

Summer’s just getting started, and it’s already brutal out there. Luckily, Shane Bowser, the food and beverage director at the retro-chic hotel Lone Star Court in Austin, Texas, has just the recipe to keep us cool.

The Cherry Freeze

1¼ ounces vodka
½ ounce lime juice
½  ounce simple syrup
¼ ounce grenadine
Sprite
1 cherry-flavored Popsicle, for garnish
Maraschino cherries, for garnish
Lime wedge, for garnish

Add the vodka, lime juice, simple syrup and grenadine into a shaker. Shake and strain into a lowball glass. Top with Sprite and garnish with a cherry-flavored Popsicle. Add maraschino cherries and lime.
